Balaena sculptures, a tribute to cetaceans

Inspired by the beauty, the intelligence and the freedom of dolphins and whales, each Balaena sculpture evokes all at once the smoothness and power of their caudal fins.

In an attempt to match the purity and vitality of their movements we have sculpted cetaceans' tails for a decorative as well as a functional use such as fountains, benches, chairs or house accessories.

Whales and dolphins as a symbol of the preservation of the environment

These friendly and good-natured animals seem to have accompanied us through our slow evolution and they appear in many religious or literary accounts since the beginning of history

These distant sea cousins are helpless witnesses of the degradation of the environment. The seas suffer directly from the consequences of human activity and cetaceans, highly evolved creatures are very sensitive to the alteration of their natural habitat.

Threatened of extinction by intensive industrial fishing, by pollution and climate changes, we can measure by simply observing cetaceans, the destructive impact of uncontrolled human activity.

Their intelligence and the interest they seem to show in us simply make them such appealing animals.

Balaena functional sculptures: modern communication tools

Today, whales and dolphins have become the greatest symbol of the protection of Nature.

Cetaceans have inspired us and we have undertaken, through Whalecraft, our organisation, to act in favour of environmental awareness. We support various environmental organisations and they can use our work as a means to reach their target.

Our sculptures are functional and have a cultural and educational value: the public can use them and get acquainted to these mythical creatures, in doing so people become aware of the fragile reality of these sea giants and of the urgent need to protect them.

The strong ecological image of the Balaena sculpture enables our customers to show their concern for the environment and communicate through their desire to preserve it.

Our sculptures thus become unique and effective communication tools in distinctive and long-lasting campaigns.

Thanks to our experience in this field we are able to suggest how to use at its best the fantastic potential of our sculptures in terms of ecological image.
